Giving

From the 7th April until the 7th of May its National Pet Month
Thousands of people up and down the UK will be celebrating life with their pets, spreading the word on responsible pet ownership or raising money for their favourite charity in fun-filled events.
  • National Pet Month’s aims are to Promote responsible pet ownership
  • Make people aware of the mutual benefits of living with pets
  • Increase public awareness of the role of pet care specialists
  • Raise awareness of the value of working and assistance companion animals

Repose Photographics have long been supporters of animal charities and this year we continue to support Claws N Paws Bird and Animal Rescue centre in Hartlepool (find out more about how we came across them in our blog archives)

Determined to raise some much needed cash for Claws N Paws which is ran entirely by volunteers I decided to set myself a personal challenge!

Having been a heavy smoker for almost 25 years, hitting the big four'o and pressure from Mrs Repose Photographics I have set myself the challenge of a sponsored quit during (and hopefully beyond) the 30 days of National Pet Month!

I began my fundraising effort this morning ... and I'm absolutely extatic and proud to share with you that so far I have raised/pledged a staggering £210!!!! ... if this amazing charity wasn't enough incentive then the support from my friends, family and colleagues certainly is!

After one short day I am almost 50% away from a very challenging target!

Please flick through my previous blogs to read more about my first meet up with Claws N Paws however for those unfamilar here's a brief insight to what they do ...

Claws N Paws rescue, provide shelter and medical care for abandoned, abused, injured, lost, sick or neglected birds & animals.......rehabilitating them wherever possible and finding them new homes or (if wild) releasing them back once they are well again.
They are devoted to the welfare and protection of all small birds and animals in the Hartlepool and Teesside area. Most are Cats, Dogs, Bunnies, Garden or Aviary Birds, Parrots, Hedgehogs, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Gerbils, Ferrets, Stoats, Voles etc, Sea and Lakeland Birds and
other small birds and animals (both in the wild and domestic) who are in need of immediate help

These services are provided entirely by unpaid volunteers

Whilst Claws N Paws are a fully registered charity, they are a relatively small rescue centre with no Head Office, PR Department or National Coverage like many animal charities ... however, their hearts are big ... they share our love of animals whether it be four legged, two legged or even one legged!

Every once in a while something comes along in my life that really strikes a chord, something that no matter what I must involve myself in ... Claws N Paws struck that chord

You can find out more about this registered charity at http://www.clawsnpawsarc.com/ in fact please click on the link ... read some of their stories ... some of the hard work and amazing things they have done to raise much needed funds in aid of caring for animals and join their facebook page?

If you live in the Teesside area Claws N Paws are holding an Easter Bonnets EGGstravaganza! on Saturday 7th April (My Quit Date!) at Pets At Home Hartlepool

Please come and join in the fun (Win easter egg prizes!) and help support this very worthy local charity

Repose Photographics will be spending the day with the CnP team, taking photos of all the fun and of course joining in ... we are also donating Ten Easter eggs as prize giveaways!

Animals of course always welcome! ... who knows you may even be lucky enough to get a free portrait of your Pet!

If you would like to Sponsor me during National Pet Month in my Quit ... no matter how small and no matter how far you away you are I have set up a Pay Pal Account for donations

Please consider supporting Claws N Paws and National Pet Month by sponsoring me in my efforts ... You can make Pay Pal donations directly and securely to paypal@reposephotographics.com

Kind Regards
